Space Available Travel
Your complete guide to flying on military aircraft worldwide
Space Available (Space A) travel is one of the most valuable benefits available to military members, retirees, and their families. It allows you to fly on military aircraft to destinations around the world when there are available seats after all space-required passengers have been accommodated.
While Space A travel requires flexibility and patience, it can result in free or low-cost travel to destinations that would otherwise be expensive. Whether you're planning a vacation, visiting family, or just exploring the world, Space A travel opens up incredible opportunities.
Important Reminder
Space A travel is a privilege, not a right. Flights can be delayed, cancelled, or full. Always have a backup plan and never rely solely on Space A for time-sensitive travel.
Understanding your priority category is crucial for Space A travel. Categories I-III have the highest priority, followed by IV-VI. Within each category, priority is determined by signup date/time.
