How much should I actually expect to spend out of pocket on a CONUS PCS?
I've heard horror stories about PCS moves costing families $3,000–$5,000 out of pocket even with all the allowances. Is this accurate? What are the biggest unexpected expenses I should budget for?
PCSing to JBLM — is living on post worth it?
Getting orders to JBLM this summer. Hunt Companies manages on-post housing. Heard mixed reviews. Is it worth taking on-post housing or should we look in Lakewood / Dupont area? Any current residents have input?

BAH rate changed mid-PCS — what do I do?
I got orders in February, started my PCS in April, and now my BAH rate looks different than what I was told. My finance office is giving me the runaround. Has anyone dealt with this? Do I get the old rate or the new one?
